Barefoot in Upstate New York
Sunday I had the honor of being a guest at a wedding for a change. It is probably obvious that I love weddings, but, above all, I especially love being a wedding guest. Unfortunately, it is often hard for me to "be a guest". I naturally want to jump in and help out whenever I see something that doesn't meet the standard of procedure for my weddings. Not to mention, I feel like I am on the same constant look out for possible issues that I can tackle. But this past Sunday I am proud to say that didn't do any of those things...I was actually just a guest! And it was wonderful!
Even more wonderful, was the feeling that this particular couple seemed to radiate. At first I was surprised to see that they both were barefoot on the stone paver patio during their misty and cool afternoon ceremony. (Apparently they were both barefoot when I they met) Even more notable, was the obvious love this couple shared for each other. I, like other guests, walked away from the ceremony thinking that these two undoubtedly would be okay.
I am thrilled I was given the opportunity to be a part of this loving ceremony and the very fun reception that followed. It quite honestly warmed my soul and reminded me that we should all have a barefoot love. One that is so strong it warms you when you are feeling cold and allows you to be exactly who you are without a protective covering. I mean, it is love, not war. So in honor of this lovely couple and their "barefoot love", I am posting this barefoot e-session photo by Brook Town Photography. Enjoy!
